OpenAI Solved NPC aI Driving in Video Games Half a Years Ago And Open-sourced It

My understanding is that CDPR received 7 million from EU/Poland gov to establish next-gen AI in video games, particularly CyberPunk 2077 …

It also seems the NPC driving AI in CyberPunk is badly doing not have to the point of nonexistence, undoubtedly NPC vehicles are essentially on a static direct ‘rails’ system … which in regards to “AI” lags even that of GTAIII from decades ago …

But Elon Musk (CEO of Telsa) has actually a not-for-profit called OpenAI structure that launched the trained neural network and open sourced the code for TRUE AI driving in videogames (here as showcased in GTAV) a decade earlier … So whats CDPR’s excuse after getting 7 million dollars to deal with AI, it could not even execute a fundamental driving vehicle AI that had remained in GTA games for three decades much less surpass it with work that had actually currently been open sourced half a years ago ?!

That’s an AI that develops a driving model for the gamers car, not the GTA V npc’s, which I guarantee you also use mundane pathfinding to operate. Cars in this world aren’t relentless things, they are loaded and unloaded dynamically to produce the illusion that the world is populated. Where GTA V varies is that there are different conditions these cars and trucks can be generated in leading to interesting interactions when they are let loose, like vehicle accidents, cop goes after, ect.
