Diesel Mechanic
Location: Carnarvon, WA
Employment Type: Casual/Vacation
Salary: $65 – $75 per hour + superannuation
About the Role
We are seeking experienced, motivated and driven Diesel Mechanics to join our clients team in Carnarvon, WA, supporting workshop, field and site-based operations.
The successful applicants will have demonstrated experience working across a broad range of commercial, civil, mining and maritime equipment.

About You
You will have experience working with a variety of equipment, including:
- Commercial light and heavy vehicles
- On-highway road transport and related equipment
- Civil and mining machinery, including excavators, dozers, graders and loaders
- Cranes, including Frannas and crawler cranes
- Ancillary equipment, including generators
- Hydraulics and electrical components (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical diagnostics on a range of machinery and equipment
- Carry out overhauls of transmissions, engines, steering systems, gearboxes and differential systems
- Read and interpret service manuals and procedures
- Use service inspection forms to diagnose and identify defective components
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs
- Use diagnostic scan tools to identify mechanical faults
- Conduct inspections for roadworthy verification
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Work independently and as part of a team
Required Qualifications & Licences
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- HR/MR Driver’s Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Unlimited working rights in Australia
